What self-managed VPS hosting means
CanyonHost’s VPS plans are self-managed servers resold from infrastructure providers. Ongoing server management is not included. A VPS is a good fit when you need control and can take responsibility for administering the system.
Your server, your administration
- Install and update the operating system and applications.
- Configure remote access, a firewall, and application security.
- Set up backups, store copies separately, and test restores.
- Monitor resource use, application health, and security alerts.
- Manage software licenses and application configuration.
Choose resources for the workload
Compare the CPU allocation, memory, storage, network limits, location, and contract terms in your quote. More memory alone does not make every workload faster. Shared and dedicated CPU allocations can behave differently under load.
Confirm the order details
Check the total recurring price, any setup charges, and any optional software or licenses before ordering. Ask us to confirm the provider, location, resource allocation, and what support covers for the specific server.
Need hosting focused on WordPress?
Our premium managed WordPress hosting is a separate service. If you want help looking after a WordPress website rather than administering a server, contact CanyonHost to discuss that option.
